Research and Preservation Associate
Hannah Chacko joined Village Preservation in August 2026 as our Research and Preservation Associate. Born and raised in Ridgewood, Queens, Hannah has always been interested in the ways neighborhoods evolve over time. In 2025, Hannah completed her undergraduate degree from Hunter College in Design and Visual Communications, where she took the greatest interest in the intersections of user experience design, research, and accessibility. Along the way, she realized that she wanted to develop a deeper understanding of urban planning and the nonprofit world, which led her to Hunter’s Public Service Scholar Program. Through that initiative, she became an intern with Village Preservation nearly three years ago, where she helped in the development of our Jazz Map, supported our annual House Tour, and maintained membership and outreach data, among other vital tasks to the organization.
