Doors opened, stories unfolded.
On May 3, 2026, Village Preservation welcomed guests to its annual Spring House Tour Benefit, a much-anticipated day that offered a rare opportunity to step inside a remarkable selection of private homes across Greenwich Village, the East Village, and the South Village.
This year’s self-guided tour featured a diverse range of residences, from early 19th-century townhouses to more contemporary interpretations of historic spaces. Guests moved through the neighborhoods at their own pace, discovering interiors rich with character, creativity, and personal expression, along with hidden gardens, thoughtful design, and unexpected moments of beauty and history throughout.
The day concluded with a reception held at the Whitney Museum of American Art, bringing together supporters, homeowners, and volunteers in celebration of the neighborhoods we are committed to protecting.
We are deeply grateful to the homeowners who so generously opened their doors, to the more than 130 volunteers who made the day run seamlessly, and to our sponsors and supporters whose generosity makes this work possible. Proceeds from the Benefit directly support Village Preservation’s advocacy, research, and educational programs, helping to ensure that the historic character and cultural legacy of these extraordinary neighborhoods endure.
Thank you to all who joined us for a truly special day.
Next year’s tour is on Sunday, May 2. SAVE THE DATE!
