LPC Public Hearing – July 21st, 2026
Closed / Approved: The approved scope of work consists of a rooftop addition. The approval included the condition that the applicant work with LPC staff on the design of the proposed handrail profile in order to have it be less heavy / have a lighter appearance and study the proposed expressed lintels in the metal facade of the addition.
LPC Public Hearing – March 17th, 2026
NO ACTION: Commissioners found that the proposed second story addition is excessive, too tall and too visible, overwhelms the historic building, and as proposed completely changes the identity of the building. It was noted that the previously approved addition should be the baseline maximum for visibility, and that the new proposal needs to be revised to be much lower and/or set back, and that the materiality should be restudied. Overall, the proposed addition needs to be subordinate to the existing building.
